Tips for young thirsty vampires
The Federal Office for Magical Creatures points to the fact that the police Mainz informs young vampires that blood banks are not serving the same purpose as fast food restaurants. In exceptional cases and after a polite request the night nurse will not stand in the way of a thirsty vampire. From well-informed police circles we heard that such incidents will be classified as theft of comestibles for personal consumption and will not be persecuted.
Even the bible, otherwise not really sympathetic towards vampires, permits the stealing of food for consumption. Dtn 23.25 says: ‘If you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat all the grapes you want, but do not put any in your basket. If you enter your neighbor’s grainfield, you may pick kernels with your hands, but you must not put a sickle to their standing grain.’
In 1975 the relevant offence was ceased, which punished the theft or embezzlement of food and beverage or other domestically used items in small quantities or of immaterial value for an immediate consumption.
